On the occasion of the euro changeover in Slovakia on 1 January 2009, the Government of the Slovak Republic and the National Bank of Slovakia, with the support of the European Commission and the European Central Bank, are organising the “Slovakia Euro Changeover Conference”, which will be held in the building of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra – Reduta in Bratislava on 22 September 2008.
Messrs His Excellency Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic; Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the European Central Bank; Joaquín Almunia, European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs; Ján Počiatek, Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic and Ivan Šramko, Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia, will address the conference.
