Euro money market

The ESCB produces two separate publications:

The Euro Money Market Survey - a large set of charts showing developments in the euro area money market. Publication of the next survey is planned for September 2009.
The Euro Money Market Study - a comprehensive analysis of the market's structure and functioning consisting of charts from the survey and additional data. Publication of the next study is planned for February 2011.

Market experts from the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) produce an annual survey of developments in the euro area money market (Euro Money Market Survey), consisting of a large number of charts. In addition, the ESCB produces a Euro Money Market Study every other year, which contains an in-depth analysis of euro area money market developments. The survey and study form part of the ESCB’s regular monitoring activities.

The survey/study covers the second quarter (Q2) of each year. Each of the 164 banks participating in 2008 reported their daily average turnover in each of the money market segments during this period. The full dataset is available in the ECB’s Statistical Data Warehouse. The CSV file contains a summarised version of the aggregate data.
